The Charter School North Dulwich is an outstanding family school that inspires and delivers excellence. A Level Results 2026!!

Celebrations were in full swing at The Charter School North Dulwich, with an incredible 73% of A Level grades coming in at A*-B, 77% of BTEC entries earning Distinction or Distinction* grades and 23% of students achieving an A* or A in all subjects.

Headteacher, Mark Pain, said: “I’m not sure who has been smiling more this morning, the students or staff! This exceptional set of results from our young people is to be commended and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of our students and of the wonderful staff and families that support them.

Among the smiling faces today were students that achieved an impressive three or more A* grades:


• Martha Ramsay (English Literature, History, Politics)

• Millie Rossor (Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths)

• Ouwen Hesling-Da (Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Physics)

• Patrick Fleming (Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths)

• Rachel Horobin (English Literature, Religious Studies, Sociology)

• Rachel Simmons (Maths, Further Maths, Physics)

• Scarlett Larcombe-Tee (Economics, Maths, Psychology)

In particular, Martha Ramsay was highlighted by the OCR exam board for achieving one of the best marks in the country for English Literature – congratulations Martha!

The sky’s the limit for superstar students at The Charter School North Dulwich

  • Every year, Charter North Dulwich see students making phenomenal progress from their starting points in Year 12 and this year the following students have made exceptional progress following their GCSEs: Emmanuel Aroboto (A*, B, B); Oliver Thwaites (A*, A, A), Gwen Del Re (A, A, A) Liban-Wilson Asowe (A, B, B) and Gus Blower (A*, A, A)

    The talented students will now depart for a variety of exciting destinations, including Stanley Dinsell, who will be studying Geography with Transport Studies at the University of Leeds, Safa Ali, who will be studying Pharmacy at UCL, Guy Riley who will be studying Maritime Business at the University of Plymouth, Esha Singh, who will be studying Law at City St George's, and Leo Recktenwald, who will be pursuing a career writing and recording music.

    The school is also thrilled that three of its students are heading to the University of Cambridge in October. These are Leila Mazza-Johnson (Theology, Religion, and Philosophy of Religion), Esther Geach (English) and Ouwen Hesling-Da (Physical Natural Sciences). In addition, Martha Ramsay will be taking up her hard-earned place to read English at the University of Oxford.

    Congratulations also go to future medical professionals Annabel McAllister and Millie Rossor who will be studying Medicine at the University of Sheffield and Newcastle University respectively.

    Pain added: “What we mustn’t forget though is that behind every set of results is an individual story of hard work and perseverance, sometimes in the face of personal adversity. Each student has built valuable skills though this journey and I am confident they will all go onto great things.”

Headline achievements include:

·        42% of A Level grades were or A*

·        73% of A Level grades were A*–B 

·        77% of BTEC entries earned Distinction or Distinction* grades 

·        100% of BTEC entries earned Merit to Distinction* grades

·        66% of students achieved at least one A grade or equivalent

·        23% of students achieved an A* or A in all subjects.

Visit Us

Open Evening 2025 took place on 5th of November 4:30pm to 7:00pm.

Visit the Our Courses section on this website or the subject pages in our prospectus to find out information about your choices and what is offered.

NB: the availability of any chosen subject, or subject combination, will depend on student demand, staff availability and on timetabling contingencies.

Apply

Complete an application form online (scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Apply Now’)

This will include: personal details, predicted grades, curriculum preferences, value-related questions and reference details.

Applications will open on the 5th of November until deadline: Friday 19th of December 2025 at 9:00am

Entry requirements: at least five 9 to 4 (A* to C) grades at GCSE including in GCSE English Language and Mathematics. 

All student wishing to have a place in our sixth form will need to attend GCSE results / Enrolment day in person on Thursday 20th of August 2026

We do encourage all our applicants to apply for more than one sixth form as we can not offer everyone a place.

Discussion Day

Links to the taster lessons will be emailed in the Spring Term.

We will expect students to watch these videos to have a better understanding of what they are expected to learn on the chosen A Levels.

You will be able to make subject changes up to the end of the summer term and on enrolment day.

Enrolment day is in person and will take place on Thursday 20th of August 2026

Offer

We will contact you and make you a conditional offer in the Spring term.

You will be able to to accept or decline your offer. This email contacts very important information please read it carefully. Every offer will be conditional on meeting the required entry subject requirements.

After your accept your conditional offer in spring term, we will be invited to attend Enrolment day to the Sixth Form on results day.

Enrolment will take place in our school in person.

Discuss

Our internal applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the Sixth Form team to discuss subject choices. This will take place in Spring Term.

External applicants will not be interviewed at our school but encourage to have this meetings with their year 11 teachers at their own school.

We all want to make sure you have selected the right courses for your future pathways.

Join Us!

Enrolment will be on GCSE results day: Thursday 20th August 2026.

In the event of over-subscription on enrolment day, in addition to the minimum entry requirements, our admissions policy will be adhered to.

If you are concerned about issues outside of your control impacting your ability to enrol, please check our Entry Flexibility Policy.

The day after enrolment we will contact you to let you know if you have been successful and can offer you a place in our sixth form.

Please note that is not possible to offer everyone who enrols a place.
